It’s been a long time coming…

Well. Hello!

It’s been an age since I’ve visited here and written about my journey. The journey does still roll on. I’ve just not been as vocal along the road.

As the pandemic hits… March 2020.

The great 2020 pandemic happens and things start to go awry. Priorities shift and keeping up regular posts here was way down on the list. In my very last published post A Journey of Nine Months I mentioned that I was delivered the crushing news that my immune system was failing me and that contracting covid-19 could leave me no resilience to fight its symptoms. So, priorities were to try and continue remaining safe, working and providing for my family, whilst remaining sane in the crazy days.

I have some cracking photos taken of my hair during the nations lockdown, while hairdressing salons and barbers were closed. Despite this, I didn’t box dye or cut my own hair (I did cut two of my sons though!)

I continued my own curly girl journey.

Now, we’re in the grip of our third lockdown. Hairdressers are shut again and have been closed since before Christmas. Mine still has Christmas decorations up. I was lucky, the day Boris announced their closure from midnight, my stylist, Alice, called me to say she’d be working late and did I want to come in one last time before they bolt the doors.

That was 2 months ago…

I’m ready for a recolour, that is for sure and my hair has got very long. But, I deep condition regularly and treat my hair well. So, condition wise, it is still in very good form.

They have said, in the media, that hairdressers may not open till April. It’s going to be tough again!

Anyway, since the last post I’m now 18 months into my curly girl journey. I am trying to compose a catch up video to post.

Today is deep condition day again, the week’s do have an awful tendency to roll on very quickly.
