A Journey of 8 months.

Well, I see 8 months of my curly girl journey. Alas, this picture doesn’t help sell this method as times have got quite difficult.

I’ve struggled recently with frizz, haven’t quite got to bottom of why it’s happening, so I’ve tried to remedy as best as I can. I do wonder if I need a cut, rather than a particular treatment. Few days ago I did a deep condition and a ACV rinse and I saw some improvement.

I was due, this weekend at my hairdressing salon. Sadly, I had to reschedule my appointment as my son became sick, with a cough and temperature. During this current situation with covid-19. He had to self isolate. Within 24 hours, our prime minister changed the rules. We all had to isolate as a family unit for 14 days. One by one we’ve all got sick. Whilst we don’t know and may not ever know, I don’t believe we were hit by coronavirus.

I remade my hair appointment. For once I leave self isolation. Only to have Bojo, the UK’s prime minister to change the way we are dealing with the situation. Now, we are in a place of limbo. Lockdown. But not lockdown.

All shops now in the UK have shut if they are non essential and not food or medical providers. Schools are closed for the majority. So, as you can imagine hairdressers, beauty and therapeutic salons have all pulled their shutters down and closed. No hair cut for me any time soon. And let’s not acknowledge the grey roots I have now, that are taunting and clearly visible.

Anyway, March 2020 despite being catastrophically disastrous, see’s me hitting eight months of my curly girl journey and my 44th birthday, in isolation!

I took my monthly picture, its not the best judge of my journey. It’s actually a second day refresh and although I find fault with my curls currently, I will admit that they are still way better than some of my good days before embarking on this road.

Enjoy.

Happy 8 months!
